XLAM: Lambert Map Projection (extended)

This record specifies a Lambert conformal map projection to be used for transformations between ellipsoidal and mapping coordinates. Any number of XLAM records can be used, each specifying a map projection for a specific area (quadrangle).

The area (quadrangle) of validity for a map projection may be specified by preceding the XLAM record with a QUAD record.

The format of the XLAM record is as follows:

Columns 002-005: XLAM
Columns 007-013: Map projection name (any text)
Columns 015-015: North (n/N/space) or south (s/S/-) indicator for origin latitude
Columns 016-018: Degrees of origin latitude
Columns 020-021: Minutes of origin latitude
Columns 023-031: Seconds of origin latitude
Columns 033: East (e/E/space) or west (w/W/-) indicator for origin longitude
Columns 034-036: Degrees of origin longitude
Columns 038-039: Minutes of origin longitude
Columns 041-049: Seconds of origin longitude
Columns 051-062: Northing of origin (false northing)
Columns 064-075: Easting of origin (false easting)
Columns 077: North (n/N/space) or south (s/S/-) indicator for first standard parallel
Columns 078-080: Degrees of first standard parallel
Columns 082-083: Minutes of first standard parallel
Columns 085-093: Seconds of first standard parallel
Columns 095-095: North (n/N/space) or south (s/S/-) indicator for second standard parallel
Columns 096-098: Degrees of second standard parallel
Columns 100-101: Minutes of second standard parallel
Columns 103-111: Seconds of second standard parallel
Columns 113-114: Linear unit name
