XTMR: Transverse Mercator Map Projection (extended)

This record specifies a transverse Mercator (including UTM and 3-degree TM) map projection to be used for transformations between ellipsoidal and mapping coordinates. Any number of XTMR records can be used, each specifying a map projection for a specific area (quadrangle).

The area (quadrangle) of validity for a map projection may be specified by preceding the XTMR record with a QUAD record.

The format of the XTMR record is as follows:

Columns 002-005: XTMR
Columns 007-013: Map projection name (any text)
Columns 015-015: East (e/E/space) or west (w/W/-) indicator for central meridian
Columns 016-018: Degrees of central meridian longitude
Columns 020-021: Minutes of central meridian longitude
Columns 023-031: Seconds of central meridian longitude
Columns 033-033: North (n/N/space) or south (s/S/-) indicator for origin latitude
Columns 034-036: Degrees of origin latitude
Columns 038-039: Minutes of origin latitude
Columns 041-049: Seconds of origin latitude
Columns 051-062: Northing of origin (false northing)
Columns 064-075: Easting of origin (false easting)
Columns 077-088: Scale at origin
Columns 090-091: Linear unit name
